U Boat Number

Is there a way to add your Uboat number to the sides of the Conn? Not sure if this has been asked before but wiuld be nice to see. Beery, anybody, do you have the procedure to do it. Thanks.

yes you can just make a custom emblem with your # on it if that's what you mean. If you dont know how to make it ill be happy to make 1 for ya.

Wouldn't be very realistic as U-Boat Numbers were removed from the boats at the start of the war.

What are the requirements for adding custom images, and how do you install them? In other words, what file size and dimensions and what image type do they have to be, and where do you install them?

Yea, that's exactly what I was gonna say.

It's pretty easy, actually, if you really want to make your own emblem. Check out the "Emblems" folder where the game's sub emblems are stored. Follow their format (in terms of .tga file type, color settings, and transparent color) exactly, and you can create whatever emblems you want.

a custom emblem can be up to 256x256 pixels and when your done making it it must be saved at a .tga image After you have made it and want to place it on your sub you need to name it and any name will do then place it in your SubEmblems folder.
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Emblems\SubEmbl ems

note: when making emblem you want it to have a transparent background. In short your 256x256 image will be the the transparent background with you new image going over it .

Thanks guys. I know it's not realistic, but hey, it's only a game. Besides, the conn looks like it needs something to go with the emblem I'm using.

Oh, that is more likely an emblem. The U-boat numbers before the war didn't have any emblems. Just a number on the conning sides. (just info if you want something else

Yeah, I had to enlarge the screenshot a bit, that's what made it a bit fuzzy. And yes I do like JH. Very nicely done.

He even said so in person.

BTW, I tried to figure out a way to have it on the conn, not in the emblem but couldn't . Couldn't find anything showing the conn in the game files.
