I don't mind advancement in robotics if it ensures the disappearance of manual labour (not that I hold a grudge against it) and ensure a more egalitarian society which would be limited in its size. What troubles me more is the rampant development of AI. If it goes unchecked, man will create robots which will make more advanced robots. The advanced robots will build even more advanced robots to make human beings. So beings the cycle anew. And I'm not talking about the matrix, this is the general fear of AI and transhumanism in general.
