maybe you could run a remote VNC session to a more robust desktop host. Have the desktop host the application and remote connect & display from it.

I'm running SH3 in a MacBook in native XP with a Intel GMA 945/950 shared memory. That means stuttering sometimes, no 16km athmosphere and no eye candy mods, but it runs
