Interesting fly

Has anyone ever seen this kind of fly before?

I don't think I've ever seen this kind of fly before, it looks cool though with those colors.

I live in the northern part of Sweden.

Looks a little like what we call green bottle flys

From the looks of the pic, you have giant flys... Lol:rotfl:

None of these have the orange thorax though. But since its color is really irredescance it may just be the lighting.

I opened the door after I took the pictures but I found out a few days later that it didn't fly out, it died there on the door.

It was very warm for about 1 - 2 weeks, 27 degrees Celsius in the shade was the highest reading I saw on the thermometer. Too hot for me!!

Ah ! Why dident you say so... What you have there is one of them dead flys !

At least it wasent a Bot Fly...... google that... creepy stuff.

How close do you live to a nuclear reactor, nuclear arms storage facility, or nuclear waste dump site ?

The closest nuclear plant is Forsmark, 300 km away. I've no idea where the closest nuclear waste dump site is, and I don't think Sweden has any nuclear arms.

Oh god gross.

My fiancé's father was down somewhere in Central America when something bit him and he ended up with a black bug under his skin. It sounds like a bot fly, but it might've been something else.
