Default Did they split convoys in GWX

I attacked one convoy all night (JAN. 1941). Nine ships has sunk. Three escorts couldn't catch me. Why comodore didn't split this convoy?
(I repeat 9 ships has sunk from 23.)

I don't believe convoys split or scatter in GWX or the stock game. Although the individual ships may take evasive maneuvers, as a whole they just sail until they reach their destination or are eliminated.

Hmmm.
The reason is: maybe it is only game, not reality?

When the game will ever stop acting like a game, everything might be possible as in RL..

real convoys stay togeter until the end of a convoy lane
so like for example thy start form halifax and sail to liverpool
the convoy wil spilt at the englsh coast
only straggelers and runners got left behind
runners being ships able to go faster then the convoy

real convoys ? For instance A Real convoy that was codenamed PQ-17 which traveled from Iceland to Russia has also been ordered to scatter when it faced numbers of air and underwater attacks from u-boats.

your example was the biggest convoy rape of the hole war
not only sub attacks but surface units and the luftwaffe
all attackt that convoy
in all 24 ships were sunk out of 33
if u don't beleve me look at www.uboat.net and look up PQ 17
not a lot of convoys split safety in numbers
even under wolfpack attack
