I don't know what took longer - the mods or the threads for the mods. Great work, Webster!

i just never got around to posting them before, but since i was organising, updating, and cleaning out my files i was able to do threads for them all

my intent wasnt to say "look at me i have tons of mods" i just needed to post them so there they are.

it would be great if a moderator could move all these threads i posted off the first page so as not to dominate the whole thing.

many of my mods never had a thread and some werent even posted so i finally got it all organized and threw them out there.

they will fade away pretty quickly and then i can just link people to the thread for information and download links.

the few old mods i did have posted all had dead links and outdated info so its easier to just start over instead of searching for old threads to update

Well, first, thanks for sharing, no doubt there.
BUT flooding the forum with several threads IS the same as yelling: "look at me i have tons of mods" - to use your own words. A minor understatement...
No moderator should do your work. You could just have compiled the info in one thread, such as this from Venatore:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=103714

Imagine if we all did exactly that kind of flooding...
Personally, I also have quite a few small (unreleased) mods. They won't appear like that, if ever... It's just too annoying.

It's not too late. Create one thread for all the mods, and let those other threads sink to the abyss... And learn the lesson. Just good advice.

Geez, negative attitudes. Some people just thrive on it. The man just offered the community his hard work for free, and there is a complaint about the wrapping it came in. So trivial in perspective. If you don't have anything nice to say...

Many thanks for the new mods, Webster! Post them any dang way you please. Your hard work is greatly appreciated, sir.

Oh, well, yet another duplicate thread. So I'll cross-post. No harm intended.

Nice to see that the champion of the vast collection of small mods didn't abandon his original plan when he went to the dark side with Game Fixes Only!
GFO: I am your father, little modlets!

Little Modlets: No, GFO. WE are YOUR fathers!

I christen thee, Darth Webster!

i created one thread to supply links to all of my mods threads after creating threads for each of them, because every mod NEEDS its own thread to deal with that individual mods issues.

i dont like the idea of a thread dealing with 30 something individual mods with there own individual issues because you'll spend the next 50 years trying to explain which mod your talking about and with every answer you try to give, someone doesnt understand which mod you are talking about and it ends up causing more confusion than you ever try to solve.

I think flooding is discouraged most everywhere on the internet. Convenience to the flooder is no cause for consideration in establishing the principle.

Edit: although the above is true, searching the Subsim rules reveals nothing relating to the practice. Therefore Webster is within his rights in how he wishes to do business, subject to the moderators' rights to change or reorganize his posts. I don't see an issue here. I didn't even know he flooded, so it must be a small problem (or I must be blind!).

your right, i shouldnt have posted my mods at all, what was i thinking.

posting a mod a day for the next 37 days is much less domination of the forum than doing it my way by posting them all at once to get it over with and then they dissappear in just one day and its over with.

Holy Cow, Darth Webster, aren't we being a bit touchy here? Nobody is attacking your mods, just thinking out loud about the best way to present them. Why don't you have a pow wow with the administrators in this prison and figure out the best way to get it done. There's no reason to get all fatalistic about it.

You published a flock of mods. That's good! Now the task is to find the way to keep them easily available at all times for those who need them. If someone else has a better way to do that, why would you be upset?

Don't be a slave to the dark side. I know there is still good in you. All the modlets say so!
