Ok, so there we were, April of 41' it was late in the day and dusk would be upon us soon. Ahhh the sea was glass, perfect conditions and my No.1 (Pegleg Jack the Pirate Cat
![]() Sorry, story mode off now. The C3's bow was almost entirely underwater accept for a very small portion of the very front of the ship. To me it would seem that a ship that has this much flodding would not be trying to move forward for fear that it may "drive" itself below the surface even more. I wouldn't be surprised if this amount of flodding could be contained with water-tight doors but to keep steaming, to me, is quite a stretch. I apologize for the lack of "quality" screenshots but I don't normally run with external views and just happened to have the event camera on for this patrol. Keep in mind I'm not complaining in any way. Just wonderin on what ya'lls thoughts are on this. Figured I'd put this up here and if anyone felt a little tweaking might be necessary on their end then cool. Then again something like this "could" be possible although very rare, I wouldn't dispute that. Granted, if the seastate were any higher it should not have survived at all. Then again, I've never had the experience of beign aboard a heavily damaged merchant ship during the 1940's ![]() At the very least I thought it would make for a somewhat interesting post ![]() Installed Mods that may impact shipping: RUB-1.42 ImprovedConvoys-200507051500 Anything else is just eyecandy but will post it all if requested to. 3 images: The map shows just how far this C3 traveled at 1Knot after I obtained visual, not counting the time it took to get where it did before I found it. In my very rough estimation it traveled in this crippled state for well over 2 hours. ![]() Periscope view of how bad off she was. ![]() This shot was taken right after impact of the final blow and before she started to slip beneath the surface. The best one that shows just how much of the bow was under water. ![]() |

The very first C3 I sunk was with one torp. I set it for 9m magnetic just slightly ahead of the middle command tower.
C3 is designed just like the the C2 to snap in half (almost the same) with a well placed one torp. As for sinking, I hit a battleship two times in the front bow and it 'would have sunk' to Davie's Locker but the shallow water kept it from sinking. The game does not let it die if it cannot sink proper. So you will end up having to pump several torps into the bow comparment to blow it up totally. |

No comment on your C3 issue, but the story of your 1WO is awesome! You and your wife are to be congratulated for your devotion to that wonderful little cat.
ps: My cat's name is Jackie, I found her when I was at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, and named her Monterey Jack (thinking it was a boy), monty for short. We found out he was a she and my wife changed it to Jackie. |

Your #1 rules! I'm a certified Cat Person, and the story of your pirate buddy should be in Reader's Digest.
![]() My grandfather has a 3 legged dog. He's so good at getting around, (the dog, not the grandfather heheh), most people don't notice for quite some time the dog is missing one rear leg. The dog was a stray my grandfather took in. About a month after he arrived, my grandfather was cutting the lawn, the mower threw a rock, which hit the dog in the left rear thigh. He didn't seem to be hurt, but some days later, my grandfather noticed a foul smell, and found a wound that, unfortunately, was gangrenous. The vet tried to cure the infection, to no avail. The vet then advised putting the dog to sleep. My grandfather decided instead to let the vet Amputate, and let the dog try to make do. (And BOY does he make do!) Maybe someone should offer to put the vet to sleep next time. ![]()
