Default Single mission freeze....

Hi everybody, I'm new to this game and absolutely fascinated...However, I have a problem...I have GW 3 ( previously I had GWX2) and no single mission file can be loaded, the game freezes (sometimes takes my pc to the depths)...I found some posts saying others have had the same problem....(the campaign works just fine) I'd like to ask whether there has been found any solution to this problem? I aprreciate any info on this....THX

Our Wolfnest welcomes you sir!

You might wanna share your system specs with us, for more accurate response

Spyware/adware might slow your system down as well as any worms or viruses

Thx for the warm welcoming
I didn't specify my system 'cause the campaign runs ok ( apart from the dramatic fall of fps when on bridge)....so, i have a laptop, 2gb ram, mobile intel graphics accelerator (or card... I'm not so good at these things...), dual core processor...128 mb graphic memory...what else is there You might need ? I suppose the laptop is the problem....???

This is odd since campaign runs ok..

Have you tried a clean reinstall of SH3+GWX3 ?

Yes, i did that with GWX 2 as well, no results...by the way, is there any method to lower the level of detail (not in the main menu), the drop of fps is quite frustrating...?? i couldn't find any other graphic settings option...is there any? and thx for the quick reply, watched Your video, very good, love Rammstein, very well done, sir

Well sorry I can't help you much on this one.. Most probably an upgrade of your system would do the trick.

Welcome aboard!

Are these stock missions or missions designed especially for GWX?

How many different missions have you tried to load?

Good to be onboard
I tried 4-5 missions, some of them had GWX included in their name...don't really remember...However, I read that GWX cannot handle stock SH3 missions...I was hoping that problem could be solved...I know, an upgrade is needed, but definitely won't take place in the near future

Hi there, news on the single missions....It doesn't freeze, it just takes some 4 to 7 minutes to load...One problem solved....However, still have this fps problem...the most annoying thing about this is that the fps only drops when looking horizontally towards the horizon...when looking upwards or downwards after a certain angle the fps rises to 30-40, which is ok...anyway, this is why I'm almost certain that there has to be some kind of a solution....Tried to modify the effects cfg, no result...Anybody...any idea, what can be done? SO FRUSTRATING, this is my no.1 favourite game since the first moment I've played with it...THX for Your patience

Hi there guys, I'm back...really, don't mean to test Your patience, but this fps problem just bothers me...especially since I downloaded Sergbuto's free-walk extra (works fine, enjoing it a lot)....When I'm on the bridge, I lower my eyepoint as if I were sitting, I see nothing but the bridge (no water, no horizon ) and yet the fps is down to 5-8.....Just wondering...it has sg. to do with me looking horizontally...Could it be possible, that there's some file which-modified- could solve this problem? Really, this is the only thing that stands in the way of a 100% immersion...Please, if any ideas, HELP ME
THANK YOU

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?
Also when was the last time you did a disk cleanup and defrag?
Do you have anything else running in the background?
Hopefully you will get sorted out and Welcome Aboard.

Hi there, thx for the quick reply, Welll....there's a tiny problem ( I hope it won't require a format c...I can't defragment, I get an error message...As for the drivers, I tried to install a newer ( I suppose) version for my intel chip, but my system didn't meet the min. requirements, which I find a bit strange...I mean I have an intel card...How can an intel driver be to "much" ?Don't understand...Anyway, 1000 thx
