question about OLC gold

Hi all,

I m playing GWX3 since few times, and i have try to add OLC gold to my game, well all working good, but, i cant zoom with my periscop and i d like add the compas on navigation and have my uboat marked...

And do u know a solution for add contact on map too ?

OLC limitted the magnification settings in his ubermod(Gold) to one setting because he felt 6xmagnification made the waves look too weird. So he made a special version of his GUImod that has a single magnification somewhat in between. This also had the advantage of not needing to double the mastheights from navigation manual. His earlier GUI mod (aka OLC Gui 1.2.7) can replace the "Special Gui" of the Uber/Gold-mod. But then you wil have to do without some of the eyecandy. And need to perform the mastdoubling somehow, and some other features I can't remember.

Not sure what you mean with "compas on navigation". There is a linear compass readout in the left bottom corner of the screen clearly showing what degree you are pointing.

As for a marking of your uboot, you can leave a waypoint anywere on the map and then the line allways points to your uboot. But others have provided files that put a small marker back on the map. Use the search function of the forum. Also if you want to find a link to OLCs older mod. Others have mirrored his files to their Filefront pages. I'm way to tired for that now.

I think what you mean is part of the realism settings. You need to remove the checkmark of no contact updates. You can find those realism options when you go to Single Missions and then click in the lower right on Realism Settings. Really weird it's not in the Careers section too. Or atleast, I haven't found the options there.

I've been away from SHIII for awhile now . . . can someone direct me to the gold version of OLC's mod?
