Jimbuna leans against the upright of the periscope housing and pulls on his rollie and thinks to himself...'They are fools, they choose to follow one another ashore and pick the easy option of the brave Ubootwaffe who are guilty of nothing more than maintaining their loyalty towards their Kaleun.
We are now three good men down.....more than the camp personnel or those from the village. They have yet to make a correct choice. Perhaps the Oberst will not realise his mistakes until those he relies on turn against him. Perhaps he is more than it would appear. By then it will be too late, the beasts will have won. Keep your friends nearby and your enemies even nearer'. Tomorrow I must take fresh stock of the situation....I hope young Task Force can make good progress on the engine repairs and enable me to take my boat and crew away from this ungodly place.

At least 2 beasts got off today... Now time to go to sleep...there is a catch to be had tomorrow... Then, I will have to clean the gun and do my grandfather's work... An open wolf and a wolf in female clothing...she was smart not to take the gun... [trudges off to his sleeping area]

Aboard his trawler, the fisherman was also busy. Bulkheads were reinforced, nets were spread, line was laid. From a drawer he drew a flare pistol, and various nasty-looking knives. Opening hidden compartments, the fisherman began working with several bottles and the gas tank--there was only a small slick of gasoline left, not enough to go anywhere, but it would have to do.
Finally, surprising anyone who might've looked, he went down on his knees and began to pray softly.

I walked closer to Letum's bed, as he was twisting his blanket
near is face grabing it in a form with such a strengh that almost was cuting the blood circulation of his fingers... _ You need to calm down Comerad Letum...- I said trying to get him back from that familiar nightmare he was living in.... |
