Mod suggestions?

I have been playing SH3, off and on, since it's release. I have never tried a mod for it, and I was hope each person would nominate a single mod which they feel is the best overall mod.

*I think SH3 is a great game, and I was terribly disappointed by 4... although I think 3 could have been much more indepth.
IE: No wolfpacks in campaign, no hint of Allied ultra encryptions of Egnima, no Atlantic wall(s) in proper time frame(s), no escourt carriers on search and destroy missions against U-boats, no historic battles integrated during campaigh (ie: forces you to skip D-day). I routinely sink over 100,000 tons on a single mission in full realism... does it effect anything in the campain? No.

Has anyone created/edited a mod to allow access to the rest of the U-boat (ie: quarter(s), torpedo room, engine room(s), etc. ?

Basically, I believe I would enjoy a realism mod more than something off-the-wall.

Thank you for any input.

Stock SH3 ????

Get yourself a super mod

GWX 3 - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=145939
NYGM - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=139231
WAC - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128050
LSH3 - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132090

All of the above improve vastly on stock
Whats your computer specs ???

GWX requires a little more oomph to run than stock as is more graphically enhanced tho will run at stock specs
NYGM will run at stock specs easily
WAC needs a super computer well not quite but a uses high res skins where not really needed so is ram intensive
LSH3 - Aimed more at the German language player and will run on a lower spec PC easily enough

Whatever supermod you get you will need SH3commander

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=147237

After that depending on the mod you choose there are lots more you can add in from lifeboats to additional ship etc
The worlds your lobster

Rubini has a mod system building on enigma; GWX3.0 has built in real occurrences of the war and Wreford-Brown has a radio mod to alert when and where. There are probably 500 mods and more coming.
Use JSGME to activate and de-activate.
Make your own mod to satisfy one of your requirements.
The list is endlesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ssss.

I'll echo bbw - first get yourself a supermod such as GWX 3.0 then install SH3 Commander.

After that the world is your oyster.

OK.. to clarify: I was looking for nominations for single best mod.

But between this forum and another: I'm thinking Gwx3.0 with SH3 Commander.

PC Specs:

Quadcore 2.4: 1066 FSB?
4 gigs 800 Mhz DDR2
Nividea 9800GTX+
Ageia PhyX card!
Vista SP 2

Your PC specs are more than ample to run any of those I posted
And then some

Default Mod Suggestion

hi
I think you got a great idea.Ithink it would be cool to go throgh the sub.I am lucky. I live 1 mile from a place called "Battle Ship Cove. Its in the mouth of tauton river, The river is the border of two us states,(Rhode Island & Mass.)They have a ww 2 sub called the Lion-fish there. it is amazing how they lived. the place has a number of diffrent ships, Battleship mass, kennedy's PT boat, a russian flag ship and many more. probaly would be good place to check out on line.
