Nor do I envy policing the Ukraine v England game, if (sorry, big if required) if England win, nor would I fancy being a fan outside the game afterwards.

And the officials are all Hungarian/Norwegian -

Referee: Viktor Kassai (Hungary)
Assistant referees:
Gábor Eros (Hungary)
György Ring (Hungary)
Fourth official: Tom Harald Hagen (Norway)
Additional assistant referees:
István Vad (Hungary)
Tamás Bognár (Hungary)

Does anyone know how Ukraine and UK voted in Eurovision 2012 - it may have some bearing!

With regard to the upcoming match Greece vs. Germany:

I can already see the headlines:

"Greece got kicked out of the Euro"

"Germany leaves the Euro".

Looks like Carroll has to make way for the guy who flopped big style at the last world cup.

He had better perform this time and I mean like a footballer, not a thug.

Having watched and supported Leeds United for the last 40 years you need to be very optimistic

I wouldn't hold your breath...

Found a picture of him warming up in preparation:

BossMark, I spent a great deal of time supporting Leeds between 98-03, mostly 'private' functions in a sports and social bar I worked in. It was only open on a Thursday so the other nights when a match was on there was only up to a dozen of us with a at-cost bar and usually done samples.

I've still kept an eye on them and root for them where needs must, but that social life isn't possible anymore. I'd love to see then back up at the top, more than my local team.

My prediction on the upcoming quarter final

QF1. Czech Republic-Portugal= Lose-win*
QF2. Germany-Greece= Lose-win
QF3. Spain-France= Win-lose
QF4. England-Italy=lose/win-win/lose**

* I have never been good at predicting on how many goal there will be made in a match. So I just predict on who I believe is gonna win.

** This one is tricky, 'cause both team haven't convinced me yet.

Superb goal my Ibrahimovic for Sweden. Just watch a slow motion of his body. Fantastic.

Chapeau!

Superb goal by Dević for Ukraine. Just watch a slow motion of the ball behind the line. Fantastic.

Chapeau!

Czech Republic-Portugal
Germany-Greece
Spain-France
England-Italy

I'm not really sure about the Czech game but I can confidently go through the other groups. Germany will certainly demolish Greece, if you have been watching Greece then you will be just as confused as I am as to how they got out of that group. Spain will do the usual and make things look difficult, pass without purpose and then score late in the first half and then go back to passing without a purpose. England actually have to play a proper team now Spite the Italian team being sort of old they are packed full of experience and sadly I don't think England will be able to cope with this. Not even Walcott can save England in this match. (due to lack of a brain)

Germany v Italy
Spain v Czech/Port

Germany will go on to beat Italy fairly comfortably as Germany spite not packed full of experience are just simply a better team. Italy don't have the legs to cope with Germany's fast counter attacking football.

Spain will probably win in their usual depressing fashion.

Germany v Spain

Germany's time to win. Sick of Spain's Death by a thousand passes.

Nice one, need a few more signings and hopefully we will be pushing for promotion this coming season

Careful, Italy is Germany's bogey team. The Germans have not managed to defeat them since a long time. The total score is twice as many defeats as victories.

Also easy to say. Could be, but while both teams still are not in top form, after the first round my impression is that the Spaniards still have the edge. German team could get them on a good day.

The Greeks tomorrow still must be beaten. There is a reason why they are where they are. And that reason is they are a nasty obstacle. Just look how difficult the Germans made it for themselves against Denmark, being unable to crack them open.
