Ok, I started dead is dead in SH3. How depressing that I cannot just start my previous save after I have been sunk. U-49, Scapa Flow, 1940, VIIB sunk with all hands. GOD REST THEIR SOULS! Oh well, I'll go get another boat...there is plenty back home

Well, if you didn't play DiD, then none of your decisions as a captain would matter, would they? If you see a situation and chance it, If you mess up, oh well, reload. But in the same situation where dead means dead, it's not quite the same thing is it?

Will power. You must resist the tempation to load your last save when you get killed. Of course it's entirely up to the player as it gives a little more of an edge to the decisions you make.

I always do this I never reload after I am killed, I play high realism and have had some long patrols with hairy moments but I prefer to play this way, I think of reloading a save as cheating.
