Default Historical Accuracy in NYGM TW 2.2

Hi!

Is there historical accuracy in NYGM TW 2.2 when we choose an IXB in Wilmshaven's base in the year 1939?

I do this question because in the Mod Grey Wolves this election is not possible.

Which is the criterion to be able to do it in this mod?

Pardon for my poor english.

Well, the 14 IXB's built were all constructed during those years and assigned to 2nd Flotilla in Wilhelmshaven. However, other than U-64 (entered training on 16th Dec, '39) they all entered training and frontboat status during 1940.

However, according to the copy of Flotilla.cfg from my install of NYGM 2.2, it shows the IXB should only be available from Oct '40 onwards?

SH3 Commander allows IXBs in Wilhelmshaven in October '39, and I think this was done based on research by Beery. I don't know enough to argue the reality, but that's what's available outside of NYGM.

Yes, the first IXB was commissioned in december 1939. It should also be noted that several IXA boats which shared most features with IXB and are not modeled in SHIII were already in service by the start of the war.

Otherwise, I don't see it as a serious inaccuracy, even if U-64 technically didn't sail on combat patrol until March '39. Not a great discrepancy in the wider scope of things.

And oh, yes, I do believe this is more SH3 commander than NYGM

Did you notice that while you can get an IXB in 1939 that it will take 120 days to commission the boat (at least according to my game screen)? This puts you in early 1940, which is very reasonable.

But you're talking about buying one. With Commander you can start with one in October.

Hi!

My question is the following one.

Is it possible to modify in this mod some parameter, in order that only it(he,she) shows the boot when it's is available and not before?

Thank you
