So does any one still play SHII? I was just wondering, as I own SHIII but my system wont play it, but with all the mods out there for SHII, it is still a great game and the graphics are still very good for games of its time.
It may just be me, but I have a feeling that SHII will be around for a while longer, just like Mircosoft's Flight Sims. What do you thank? |

I'm in the same boat as you, got SH3 but need to upgrade to play it. I split my time b/w SH2 and DC.

SH2 just needed some modding to make it work better.
I think SH3 takes the sim to new heights but little things like not being able to run the emotor on surface seem to take away from the overall feel. Atlantika II is gaining members in part because the mission writers are going over backward to real give the guys a mission that is both taxing yet fun. From port to port you just never know whats going to happen and with the "real torpedo mod" it has really changed game play IMHO. My 2 cents Vader I have been playing SH2 since day 1 ok actually day 25 lol

I played SHII. I played the stock campaign, then the Second Kampagne, then Hitman's Aces Campaign.
I tried to play it again about a year ago, but the lack of dynamic career was too much and I took it off my computer again. I still have the mostly unmodded version in case I ever get to play online again, but I enjoy SHIII too much. Still occassionally play Destroyer Command, though.

Raiders of the Deep, Wolf Hunters, and Atlantik are all played off line. They are single player campaigns.
You play the mission off line and then post your stats the the forum. ![]() |
