I just commissioned U-874, my second IXD2 boat. I leave Bordeaux in the 12th Flotilla with 56 men. I've been at sea for 17 days and I am west of Africa, preparing for attacks on convoys bound to and from Gibraltar. I prepare to head south to my patrol grid west of Capetown. On the way, I met a convoy with liberty ships and troop transports, but the convoy was heading too fast and I could not reach it, unfortunately. So what is my punishment? I, in a IXD2, receive a message from BdU.

The base was changed to:
LA SPEZIA

Now, of course, the problem is getting through Gibraltar and to La Spezia in U-874, then transferring myself back to the 12th Flotilla. Difficult task right there, mates.

Your having GW? If answer is:Yes, do like this:

Do one HECK of a loooong patrol around the world, refueling and rearming at Milkcows and neutral/friendly harbors. Have some fun with your boat while you can mate, go to Australia! (I don't know why, but the fact that Australia/New Zeeland is in the game cracks me up

)

Mm, that's a very good idea, actually. It could give me an opportunity to go through the Suez. It'll be 1944 by the time I get to La Spezia!

Kylania: Heh, only problem is, how am I going to make it through Gibraltar in the pig that is U-874? I might survive on the bottom, like in Das Boot, but I thought the game dealt out damage to your boat when you do that.

They're out there..........SOMEWHERE....and I will find them.....SOMEDAY.......but could use some help
