Default Silent Hunter III and Windows Vista

Moin all,

I want to give Windows Vista a try (apparently the latest build is good and stable), but I have some doubts about wheather SH3 will run. I'm going to be installing the 64bit version, and I know that XP 64 already caused some problems in that regard. I'll need some sort of starforce update, right?
Is there anyone else out there using Vista or Vista64 with SH3?
I would appreciate the help, I really can't be bothered doing a dual boot install only for SH3.

SH3 should run fine under Vista/64, the only problem is SF. The version that comes with SH3 doesn´t work with a 64-bit OS. There is no official solution for that, you need to find a workaround (ask Google).

Cheers for the help Gizzmoe, works pefectly!

As a side note, a lot of people might be interested to know that the resolution fix works straight without any tampering with compatibility toolkit etc.

Also Vista lets you ALT-TAB while using the res fix!!!! Installing Vista was worth it for this alone.
