Default SH3 and Windows Vista

Has anybody tried SH3 on Vista? It installs fine for me but crashes to a black rectangle after the initial load screen. I've got 1.4b installed and run end-it-all to close open programs. I sometimes have a problem in XP if I run SH3 after using computer for a couple of hours. A reboot will fix that.
Thanks
Bill

This is the public beta 5536 which was released recently. Release candidate 1 is just now out and should be publicly available within a week. The code is pretty decent at this point. Starforce was removed so shouldn't be a consideration.
Thanks
Bill

Your using a Beta expect some bugs when gaming, a mate has the beta 2 and has some trouble with games, at times he gets graphic gliches.

wikipedia has a good supply of info on Vista:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista

Here's a thread I started in the google group comp.sys.ibm.games.action on Vista and gaming:
http://www.gatago.com/comp/sys/ibm/p.../15950687.html

Vista is based on the 2003 server code base, whereas XP was based on win 2000. It'll probably be as different from XP as XP was from win98.

I will not go with Vista until a year or two after it comes out. I want most of the kinks out of it prior to getting it. Also I want most of the service packs to be out for it so I don't have to re-download everything from Microsoft everytime I need to format my hard drive.
