At UBI there is a club called the 100k club, there is also one for 200k and for 300k (IIRC) tonnage sunk in one patrol. Willhelm is in charge of running the roster.
I wonder of this will work here. I wanted to get a view on what people here think of this. Have a look here for reference: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...3/m/9191010914 My view is as follows. We need a higher standard for this kind of competitive club, if we want this kind of club. 100k does'nt mean anything at all unless it's exactly the same realism conditions and exactly the same game/mod for all involved. As you can't police people's mods, you can never be sure of cheating or simple doctoring. Some of the logs I've seen at ubi, are quite dubious. It is probable that some of the logs at Ubi are fixed in one way or another. Even more so because most have not disclosed how they have achieved the results. this is not an accusation, but a broad statement. No offence is intended. When I look at this forum it seems better off without the 100k club. It seems more mature and has far lesser petty discussions/arguments than Ubi. This seems like the place for the hardcore, seperating the boys from the men (and the girls from the women as the casae may be). I also see a lot less conmen in this forum than at ubi, people claiming things that are'nt, claiming to be things that they are'nt. I would suggest the following standard for the 100k club, if people want to have that:
Just to get the ball rolling in a democratic direction... ![]()

sadly personaly for me it's like fingers down a blackboard..
now if it was the 10K club and the 20k club and the 30k club we'd be some-where near the genuine situation required for realistic gameplay... a significant number of kaleuns never sank anything at all.. so for me 100k club or a 200k club becomes fantasy land even if in the game it is perfectly achievable...it's rather like boasting that you have scratched your head.. or had a piece of toast.. so those players who are returning with realistic tonnage results are going to be those players who are not eligible for membership of such "hallowed" groups lol fingers down the blackboard if you want to start a "club" with some sort of meaning.....have it based on the number of patrols survived AND the amount of tonnage sunk.. still a contradiction in terms tho

I really dont mind HOW a player plays SH3 / mods aslong as you enjoy the game
![]() Thats what keeps us modders interested in the game..aslong as it's still enjoyable to play, we will keep modding it ![]() |

sorry Wil'
it needs a little more than just 100k tonnage in one patrol to have any genuine depth..try 100k every patrol for ten patrols with nil hull damage loss of personal or damage accrued..and you'll be where you want to be.. the game doesn't really allow for realistic tonnage results ....so realistic "heroics" regarding results are going to be very wide of the mark..

That is a good point too CB. Eventually 100k on 100% is nothing as well, once you've played long enough. Now that I got the hang of it, I'm doing 100k every patrol, so far on 72%.
Pants, I agree with you too. I don't care how people play, but if there is a competitive club then I think there should be some standard, the same one for all. Otherwise you can also just have it for fun, but then CB's point comes in, does it mean anything other than a big fat brag ? Will, the comment I made about maturity in this forum, in my initial post is not related to the 100k club but rather to the forum. ![]()
