No Jap subs? Dang...

But then again, I suppose they can be added by modding!

What I really like is the enhanced radio system and the special missions. Let's get some commandos deployed, shall we?

The terrain's looking sweet, too, and I'm curious to learn more about the "new editing options".

But I think we can start "polite" pushing for Japanese subs in the game, at least computer subs. Some American subs sank several Japanese subs in one patrol, and some American subs were lost to IJN subs, so I say to the dev team, come on guys, here's that last little feature. At least we not asking for a dynamic career!!

I'm for having IJN subs as computer controlled. I'm Clear the Bridge by O'Kane there was some concern about enemy subs and getting torpedoed. It would put an even more need on your watch crew on spotting incoming torpedos. It would also be fun to actually try to sink a Japanese sub before they dive.

The trailer had a quick shot of a plane in the air, and they said in the interview that major battles would be represented. That should include Coral Sea and Midway, and that means air battles; so you're wrong, they were mentioned.

well ... i didnt heard or read " air battles " ... and i saw no planes engaging each others but i must be wrong and SH4 must be perfect

the question that subsim made refered to "large scale naval battles" and in the reply the word " aircraft " doesnt appear ...

but i must be wrong and i really hope you are the owner of the supreme truth about this game

You're right, they don't mention 'air battles', but the trailer does show a plane being shot down. As I said, Midway is purely an air battle, and it's the most important battle of the war, so they should show it.

No need to get testy, and certainly no need to call me names (though I probably deserve it for other reasons).

So....you want as a US Sub Skipper to be sitting on your bridge, observing a major Air Battle? Watching carrier planes take off and land? Awesome Air Duels and Dogfights? While sipping coffee maybe?

Would a real US WWII Sub Skipper be watching all of that???

You need to get a Flight Sim......
