Default Disappointed at sitting-duck major target with no support

I was disappointed to find a Fiji light cruiser and a Nelson Battleship in Loch Ewe with almost zero support. There were 2 very small battleships patrolling; the kind without active sonar, so all I had to do was loose all my torps at them and sit quiet. Very disappointing.

I'm using the Grey Wolves super-mod by the way. (With the mod I had expected to see gashes in the side of the ships I sunk but probably due to the armour I didn't see any, although the bottom of the hull did show scorch marks when the Fiji turned-turtle).

It is also discussed here;

Stay out of harbours then. Apart from a very small handful of daring raids (like the Scapa Flow raid of course), it's not like German U-boats raided Allied harbours on a regular basis.

When reading these forums it sometimes seems like people spent more time infiltrating harbours than wrecking havock along the convoy lanes. But to each his/hers own of course.

Thats what mines and subnets are for. Your not exactly going to find HK groups cruising harbors.

In late War some ports are guarded with V&W's and Flower and some Hunter Class Destroyers

I started an Career in 1943 (stock game) 27Flotilla and went to an island down of italy and I nailed the V&W, Hunter Class....but the flower corvette kicked my ass into the sea bottom I feel really embarrased...

Hmm... I'm not sure about some of the replies; "why put them there" I ask?!
