Default Not being able to control the two propellors individually

I'm being depthcharged. One explodes very close to my stern and destroyes both stern dive planes and rudders. What do I do ? I'm still able to change depth, but I'm not able to steer. In real life submarines are can use different RPM's in order to turn. Why is this not possible in SH3 ?

No, you can't do it in Silent Hunter III for some reason. Blame Ubisoft for rushing the game.

Rushing ? Why ? Maybe it was never planned to include that option.

Remember that including all options people demand would result SHIII being released in 2010 and costing 500$. And by that time the graphics would be so outdated that no one would buy it

I don't know, it just seems like such a basic option to me when I think of it.

And it'd be used as a training tool by the German Navy. No, wait...
