Default What's been happening?

G'day guys,

Long time no post - just thought I'd come up and snort the diesels!

Been very busy with work this year, and have been playing more VBS than DW, in fact, haven't loaded it for months...must crank it up again!

No word yet on addons (offcial or otherwise) is there? Do the experts think they will ever come?

Cheers guys - let us know all the goss - am too tired/lazy to read all of the threads :rotfl:

Stew

VBS is the Vitual Battle Space. A conversion of the popular game Operation Flashpoint for use as a trainingtool for the real military.

LWAMI has many gameplay improvements, 3-d model and more gameplay improvements to come.

User-created new platform mods will never happen, and new platforms from SCS are possible, but not likely at this time.

Well, Bill, the models aren't really my department.

Xabba sent me a bunch of models to look at, but the last I heard there were still some issues with a lot of them. I was waiting for some more word on them when a host of new gameplay changes made it to the menu.

So, Xabba, what IS going on with the models? :hmm:

Well to be honest since I reformatted my C: drive when doing some house keeping I haven't reinstalled 3DS max.

All the models I sent you are ready to run except the Type-42.

A couple might need paint jobs but I can't remember.

To be honest I haven't done much model wise. Kind of lost interest in DW. To many issues that haven't been fixed as quick as I thought including some still hung over from SC, and DW wasn't quite the leap forward I was expecting. LW you can use the models I sent and I might off load my uncomplete models on people who would like to finish them.

I might go back to my modelling at some point but until patches start getting made and that I am holding fire for a bit.

VBS costs $1,308! And is only available in North America?

I want it...know how I can get it without breaking the bank or relocating?

LOL...I added the game to cart...to see if maybe there was a mistake, and it came out as total: £1,308 dollars. Checkout? :hmm: Suuure...

Ok, now I'm at the stage where I'm jealous and very resentful towards people who have that game.

I think there's a certain point where it stops being a game and starts being a "High-tech military training simulator."
I don't know the exact price where that happens, but I can't see many people paying more than $200 for a mere "game".
