Default Females dig polygamy !

That intrigued ya, didnt it ? It does take the mind of the Islam vs West issues for a moment

Well, I thought I'd share this accidental find when I was reading up on mormon polygamy. This page was linked.

Its old news but since we are all dealing with this one way or the other, I thought I'd start this thread. I wonder who here subscribe to the authors views and who dont.

"Sperm Wars: Infidelity, Sexual Conflict, and Other Bedroom Battles" by Robin Baker. Entertaining, to say the least. If you are prudent, avoid it, because the author certainly is not . Else, an original view on human behavior in (and outside!) relationships. It's a war sometimes, really.

As long as all parties are fine with the idea, i don't think the government should interfere.

I saw a documentary a few years ago about a group family like that. The guy built a house for each of his wives (7-9 i believe) all in a circle around a playground so they could watch each others children. The wives seemed to love the whole situation.

Divorce would be a pain. Especially if each wife felt entitled to half your estate.

The problem is that, since the population is about equally split between the sexes, a lot of polygamy is going to lead to a lot of unmarried men.

Now, in medieval and earlier times, this was good from a societal view, since unmarried men are perfect for military service, but today, I don't really know.

There are still alot of unmarried men, women are picky, its pure Darwinism.

Well yea, picky as in 'rich and powerful': Polygamy and multiple orgasms no problemo.

Not as in 'nice but poor dude': Not likely to get one non-desparate gal remotely aroused.....

That perceived females' attitude is what inspired the author of that linked article, didnt it ? :P
