Hi
Currently I am running SH3 with the latest RUB and SH COMMANDER MODS. Is this the best way to run the game because I am currently downloading this IUB mod to see what that is like can anybodt tell me if it is worth switching over or should I just stick with RUB and SH Commander. PS :- If I do is IUB Compatible with SH Commander ? Cheers Andrew |

I don't know. I had problems with mine when I tried out IUB but that's not to say that you will have problems.
I'm happy with RUB. No hassles. |

SH3 Commander is compatible with IUB. IUB uses RUB as a base, but adds alot of new hi-res textures, additional fixes, increased visible range and scales the realism back slightly... ie. gun reload times and sub marker.
All the mods that have been added to RuB to make Iub are available separately. So I guess Iub just saves you alot of time looking for extra mods you might not even think of putting in. I use IuB myself and I'm fairly satisfied with it for now. As far as my experience has gone, all Rub compatible mods can install over IuB and will work in the same way. |

You won't regret once you'll see dolphins
![]() I have IuB myself. Great pack. However, the new 2D graphics for replacing the UBI's stock is not what I call superior quality. The medals are now blurry (web photos which were obviously resized and doctored) and the loading screens are way below the quality of Ubi's standards. Everyone's tastes I guess. I am doing a modfix to revert some of the graphics involved. The only gameplay thing versus RuB is the AI range against the planes and the possibility to sail with deck awash because IuB was released before RuB 1.45. I might as well make a fix for that too. |

I agree; IUB 1.02 needs to be updated, and ORGY no
longer is active in the community. I like IUB better than RUB 1.45 for game play as I don't play at 100%. irish1958 |

Hi guys,
Some time ago oRGy left IUB for me to be updated. But I'm now hard involved with some new upcomes big mods and also with a update for HT. After these new big mods come alive and IF IUB yet have some space on the "big mods layer" I will update it. But for now maybe someone here could make some little adjusts/update on it, this will be great. ![]() Rubini. |

Thanks Rubini,
It always fun to have someone passing the olympic torch to another runner ![]() As far as I'm concern, doing another IuB should be not an hard thing since it collect all the best mods out there and reunite all them in one ![]() I have almost done a IuB 1.03 package myself, including RuB 1.45 updates, sounds improvements, sub fixes and upgrades of other mods that were updated in IuB after the release of 1.02. I have to test the whole thing starting tomorow. It a collect of what most people use and it reflect mostly the mods suggested by Avon Ladies FAQ. |

JonZ,
Sounds great! And when it's finished you can release all the package or only put a link for an update to be installed over IUB 1.02. Looking forward for your work! ![]() Rubini. |

JonZ,
I'm waiting for it too. Tried to do it myself, but nothing to do - no time ![]()

Tonight I might be doing some additionnal tests to see if everythings is done right.
I still have issue with integrating HT1.47 with IuB since it rework the menu interface and the file 1024x760.ini file. The only way to make it work without errors is to include the "without ACEs taskbar", making the chrono to be permanently sticked to the top (which is not everyone's taste). Also it get rid of the sliding enginers report gauges, this might not please the IuB users like me not be able to use that feature. Also, I am looking to possibly insert NYGM crew fatigue/management mod since most people here seems to agree that it far superior to any fatigue system. Do you people want me to try that? thanks |

I installed RUb 1.45 with the mod enabler, into SHIII ver 1.4b. I played part of a mission, new career etc. using RUb. I wanted to see which mod I would prefer so I uninstalled RUb and installed IUB 1.02. When I tried to start the game my computer restarted. This happened again so I uninstalled IUB and reinstalled RUb. Is this because I'm "on patrol" in the game, or IUB is not compatable w/ version 1.4b? Or something else.? Should I try a reinstallation of SHIII?

Can this has possibly happened during TimeCompression?
I think IuB redefine some of the TimeCompression settings a notch higher than stock. Yes, if you were already in patrol it could have an impact on the game stability. It is suggested to not install the mod(s) while in patrol, and also strongly recommended to rollback SHCommander before installing mods. |

Crash occurs when I try to run the SHIII program. It never initializes. I think I'll try once more w/ RUb installed and if that doesnt' work, I will just delete that last save and move on. I just thought the program should start and maybe CTD whenever I tried to begin my patrol. But I can never get to any screen as the PC system has crashed.

If that occur, juste delete (or move to another folder) the movie files in data/movies/intro. |

Holy crikey! I think that did it. And stupid me, I had this problem but with the original intro movie not playing until someone on the fourm told me to check for that. Forgot that advice. But I did think the movie file had been deleted months ago. Yeah, I guess Iub loaded one in there. Thanks JonZ.
One more "?". Is the version of IUB out now compatable w/ 1.4b? So I can use IUB, Harbor traffic, and SHIII commander w/ 1.4b?
