What other missions other than patrols?

Hello,
I am playing the game just plain as it is without any mods (curious of what they are though I don't know how to install them)or patches. My question is: are all the mission going to be patrols? Or there will be some special missions (for instance some escorting or waship engagements during the invasion of Norway or something like that)

Depends if you just install the 1.4b patch and 1.47 harbor traffic standalone, yep thats all it is. you will be assigned a grid and of you go and do you 24hr stint there.
But definately no special OPs in the campaign unless you install a mod.

Download single missions pple create and multiplayer missions then put them in the folder -SH3/Data/Singleplayer or Multiplayer folders. Some multiplayer missions have good objectives, if you dont play multiplayer you can put these missions in your singlepplayer folder and play them as a single player patrol.

THE GAME also comes with a few single missions.

Never played them though !!
