unselecting dive to periscope debth.

Can anyone tell me how to unselect the option to dive to periscope depth upon spotting enemy planes once checked off? With this option on I find myself wasting precious seconds hitting the "C" key over and over before it responds to crash dive. I've had to repair many a coning tower because of it, infact there's talk of mutiny afoot......

Into the mission press "Scape", click on "Options", and under "Game Options", click on "Reset Default Action"
