Default Time compression and weather

This may have been asked before, but I could find nothing in the forums when using the search utility.

For the past several patrols, to shorten the amount of time I am sitting on my butt looking at my dot move across the sea, I kick in time compression. For the really long trips I go to 512, otherwise I stay at 64 (one hour per minute). Something I have noticed is when I drop out of TC the weather has gone to hell. Now, the thing that gets me is before I drop out, I do a weather check, and the NA says it is clear, with light fog.

Is this another annoying bug? Is there a bug that allows Time compression without making visual detection impossible?

Um the weather conditions in sh3 can change from clear and calme to foggy and stormy in a matter of minutes, i once witnessesed a weather change whilst on the bridge in x32 TC - it took about 3 seconds for it to change.
It would be nice if you could see storms coming, dark clouds building up on the horizon.....

Default weather

That can and does happen in the North Atlantic in the winter. I'm not sure about the South Pacific tho.
