Most likely, Neal is reprimanding you for the baiting you did in Excalibur Bane's thread. Baiting is fine, but not when you hijack someone else's topic to do it.

Keep your eye on the soap.

The Problem: Flamebait
"Flamebait" (sometimes rendered "Flame Bait") is a subject that people feel strongly about and which almost always causes causes sharp divisions in viewpoint. In general, these topics involve sex, religion and politics. Here are some examples of topics that are considered flamebait:

Abortion
Atheism
Capital punishment
Gun control
Legalization of drugs

When flame war veterans see one of these topics come up, they often restrict their reply to something like, "This is flamebait; I'm not touching this topic." Inexperienced users, on the other hand, blithely charge in, and the same tired arguments are trotted out for the millionth time. Nobody changes their position and everybody gets irritated.

If lesser forum skippers see even Kapitan is subject to discipline, they will think twice before hijacking threads and baiting

I think it is because ya are getting carried away with the polls maybe...? On reading the definitions of flamebait I admit, I must be a pretty big fish in being roped into many a topics that fall under this definition...but....I think this board probably has a pretty diverse and broad spectrum of peoples on it and am really happy with all of the discussions and polls and have come away with more understanding of different cultures and peoples views on things.

Guess we need to start the "Free Kapitain" thread soon.

Yes, Kaptain...you took a topic that everyone was laughing about a dud torpedo launch and turned it into a comparison of American vrs. Russian training.

Thank god. Actually Kapitain does seem to hijack threads and his pro-Russian thing at all costs is wearing thin, bordering on the insanely annoying.

Also though I will take the mickey out of my American cousins the "typical yanks" thing aint here...certain situations where it isn't appropriate.

me hijack ??? i make comments some of which taken wrong way because well as you can see im not good with english (never have been)

when i said typical yank i didnt mean it offencivly xabbarus you being british should know what i ment (kinda oh god theyve done it again)

if you want a good larf at a balls up from russia theres plenty during the st petersburg naval show this year a ship partialy sank itself on its own mine during training exercise

its not the same but when russia balls up it balls up unlike americans which take it in thier stride as we all saw on that video id doubt a russian could larf off that torpedo failure

i think that if that was a russian ship everyone would be going below not wanting to get in tthe captains way incase they get accused of it being failed
