Default Help! computer lockup "out or range"?

I was running a single player mission and all of a sudden the screen went blank and I got a message:" out of range H:34.3khz
V:42.2hz"

What does it mean and can it be fixed? The computer locked up and I had to reboot . Thanks,Joe S

er...I'd say that looks much more like a message from your monitor, all new monitors spit something like that when they are not getting video signal.

So either your system was kaputt and rebooted or...

maybe the cat stepped on the vga cable ??? :hmm:

hope it helps

After all the problems I've read about i'd say consider yourself lucky that it happened only once (and that you were playing just a single mission )

If you have an ATI video card and are getting this message, update your Drivers.

Setup the "Screen refresh rate" correctly.

Thanks Von -Capo!

I updated the driver and went into the monitor settings, but my monitor apparently does not refresh at 100 mhz, only 85. I hope that will be enough. I never had this happen until recently. Thanks! Joe S

I updated the driver and ran two different missions tocday. had lockups and blank screen each time. I note that everytime this happens its when I am using the perisicope at night. Is there any way to troubleshoot the problem? I have ran several missions including campaign missions for several hours before, never had this happen until recently. Help! Joe S

In my humble opinion is a hardware problem. Check if it exists specific drivers for your monitor.
Probably it would solve the glitch.
