Help with mod

I hope someone can help me out! I'm trying to download the radio war mod and the internal life mod for SHIII. But when I try to download it opens up at notebook, and has weird characters *$%0:; example. I'm not sure what to do at this point, where do I put the file. I'm new to installing mods, however I have installed a few buy click and paste. Hope someone knows what I'm talking about and can help me out. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

DC2Sal,

The mods are easy to install using the JSGME (it's a tool to install and manage the mods). This tool you can get here at the Wal-Mart of Silent Hunter 3 mods (these are CWorth words

):

Look in the General Mods area

Don't forget to read the readme file inside the mods!

Right click the link and choose "save target as", then save the mod in your download directory.

After that unpack the mod and read the instructions.

Download WinRAR (www.rarlabs.com) to unpack files with the extension .rar. The latest WinRAR version can also unpack files packed with 7-zip (extension .7z).
