Default Modding Harbours

Hi,

I was wondering how difficult it was to mod the harbours appearance ? I've found some french harbour maps and although Lorient is very well modelled the other ones could be improved (specially Bordeaux and La Rochelle).

Thanks,

Christophe

Not quite sure whats the go with the harbours.

I get the feeling they didn't get so much priority because the player does spend so little time viewing them.

Ubisoft promised a harbour_tile kit for modders on their SH3 website and told that the community can build new harbours with 3DSMax or extend existing ones with it.

The problem is, Ubi makes no intention to release this kit and fullfill their promises.

Well, I remember seeign screenshots of a mod where harbours had changed. Whatever this mod was, it certainly means you can do it...

You can change the textures.

Changes on the 3D scene requires brain in your hand in combination with hex-editing or the inhouse-toolkit from Ubisoft (which is not public) or the knowledge to write your own 3D data export/import toolkit for the harbour_tile.dat.
