radar Royal Navy - Revenge class BB - 2025 edition

Hi everyone!

I'm glad to release this new mod: Royal Navy Revenge class (HMS Revenge, HMS Resolution, HMS Royal Oak, HMS Royal Sovereign \ Arkhangelsk, HMS Ramillies) battleship.

This is the eighth unit for Royal Navy, reworked in collaboration with flush deck.

Pack include a multi skin unit based on Revenge class with six skins, one for every ship in the class.



Based on SH5's Revenge, converted for SH3 by Kovall, 3d updated using SHV model and parts and a lot of details (portholes, stairs, cables, lifeboats, glass windows\interiors, turning radars\rangefinders...) and some details from Gerome73 and The_Frog, including the reworked library. .zon file reworked with Fifi's help.

Thanks also to Anvar1061 for some suggestions about those searchlights and about optimize .eqp files.
Thanks to Fifi for suggestions related with guns' reflections, and for help with hull's .zon configuration.

@everyone: Thanks to Fifi, i've found a possibile ID conflict about HMS Revenge. I've tested in mission the involved ships, nothing strange appeared. Anyway, i've reuploaded the Revenge BB with new IDs, in order to prevent any risk =)

Thanks a lot for your support and your words on this unit and the others provide by the wizard VonDos and dressed by me.

You don't need my skills on this skin my dear friend, you have made a great job on it

@Buker, as you can see on the screen shot posted by VonDos, we can not put a dedicated color on the library. The light grey finish is the color that will be used by all the Royal Navy units that use the same library. Put dedicated color on the library is really complicated and need to update the .dat file to associate texture to each library and make a dedicated library file for each unit.

It's the reason why I haven't made this scheme, the light grey guns and radars on an overall dark grey scheme give a very strange finish that is, in my opinion, far from historical accuracy. That's why I've choose to make the Royal Oak in light grey finish and not in this overall dark grey version.

But if you like it like that, just go on, always a pleasure to give you what exactly you want

Keep just in mind in the futur that we can not change the color of the library object to adapt them to a particular scheme. That's why I need sometimes to change a bit the historical camo schemes to make something adapted to this constraint

Hi VonDos,
Overall it looks pretty good, just need to repaint the gun turrets and make the deck a little darker.

This is a fact, with library placed outside the ship file, for guns, radars, rangefinders etc, you can not bond a single ship texture with a specific equipment set. You should need a clone of the ship and a clone of the entire library for every skin. Or, alternative to rebuild the ship's dat with a kind of internal library, like latest the_frog wonderful cruisers Dido, Town and Colony. This is a good example of solution to this problem, but 1) require literally tons of works, not only for guns model and textures, but also for import, for every single gun on every single turret (not replicable), their .sim data, rotation, elevation, speed, fire rate, muzzle flashes positions etc etc... 2) this create large files, in a 32 bit memory-hungry game with 4gb RAM limit.
Sorry for this. If you want, i can try to make a darker deck, using a single .tga for all the ship non trasparent parts, no problem about this!

EDIT: Stefan Thimme sent me a revised .dat file with an improved position of main turrets. Effect is really good, so i've reuploaded the unit =) thank you so much mate!!
