![]() it dawned on me that the slaving source (UZO/AP/OP/OFF) knob could be used to pre-set the torpedo to the desired impact angle. What if the attack periscope is unlocked to steering commands instead of target bearing, can the periscope be used to target at a futuristic desired range of target like Reinhard Hardegen used to (650 meters, AOB 90º, average speed 12 kts)? The objective is to steer the boat using the helm until the target fills X number on the AP graticule while being unlocked without tracking the target just fixing the bearing from the 90º AOB impact angle

Can you not lose track of the AOB, if you suddenly need to change course (close warship)
With Angle Tracking set on AP, OP or UZO. You can still keep a lock on it? Anyways. Very good question indeed |
