I decided to compare ships from different versions of the game. Let's start with Hog Islander...
![]() ![]() As you can see, the overall dimensions are approximately the same. But if you look at the details (masts, anchor, inter-deck spaces etc.), then the discrepancy in proportions and sizes is very striking. The SH4 ship even has a strange hull shape (the delirium of a drunken programmer). Rating: There's nothing to rate here - it's trash. Throw it away and forget it. The SH5 ship is more similar, but has the same problem with sizes and proportions. Rating: 2.5 stars. There's not much to say about the last ship. This is almost the standard of what a game ship should look like. Rating: 9 stars. Last edited by Alex.B; 11-19-23 at 03:00 AM. |

I think the Liberty ship from CCOM was a bit more realistic than in other SH3 mods.
The SH5 version is better but still looks ugly and with a strange hull shape... ![]() The version you adapted for SH3 is far better, but there are some unhistorical details, and the hull shape is still incorrect in the stern section. This one is even better, but doesn"t have any textures yet... More in PMs if you want. ![]() |
