If you want to participate in this event. but you do not have a shortwave receiver, then you can make use of a worldwide network of Software Defined Radio (SDR) receivers through your browser. A list of receivers can be found here: http://websdr.org/.
A FAQ for use of the receivers is available here: http://www.websdr.org/faq.html. You can practice tuning CW (Morse Code) signals on the amateur radio bands. The American Radio Relay League has frequency allocation charts to help you find the CW segments in the High Frequency (HF) bands. These segments are marked for CW or RTTY and Data use. Most countries have essentially the same allocations for these bands, but you could also use other national radio organization information. ARRL frequency charts are available here: http://www.arrl.org/graphical-frequency-allocations. |

For those who could not participate, here is the transmission as I copied it. Note that the message was sent twice and there are differences in what I copied between the first and second version due to fading. If you want to try to decode the message, USE THE SECOND VERSION as it is correct.
