retracting RDF in GWX

SH3 with the GWX 3.0 mod, when I'm in the Type II at periscope depth, the radio direction finder is still partially surfaced. Is this just a graphics thing or is the RDF actually visible to the enemy? Can the RDF be retracted?

Did you use "Shift V" to raise the antenna? If so, try "Ctrl V" to lower the it.

Shift / Ctrl V doesn't work. While I was in deeper water I settled down to periscope depth and the RDF retracted automatically, so IDK if it had something to do with being pretty shallow water earlier. Or maybe I'm just imagining it all
