Stewy's Map Pack 9

Hi everyone,

Here's my ninth instalment of maps I've made for Dangerous Waters. The maps are of:

* Ecuadorian-Peruvian border
* Pakistan and the Arabian Sea
* South Africa's Western Cape (including real naval exercise areas)
* Southern Somalia
* The Guianas (including 2021 locations of oil rigs - they're marked in brown - but there are no rigs added because they're the last thing I add to missions)
* Western Mediterranean (including the Spanish Mazarron naval exercise area)

They are essentially 'blank' of triggers, scripts, ships and submarines, for you to make your own missions.

All landmarks, features, and EEZ boundaries are marked as accurately as possible.

Research Credits go to Wikipedia, World Sea Ports (https://www.searates.com/maritime/), NGA Maritime Safety Navigational Warnings and marineegions.org (for EEZs)and various notices to mariners and news websites.

All information was accessed from publically available sources.

Installation:
Place in your DW/Scenario folder - you know what to do!

Where are the international waters?
Where are the free corridors for the transit of civilian ships? Doesn't the 12 mile zone work?

Most likely you marked the maritime boundaries incorrectly.

These are basic "battle maps" for designing your own missions.

The EEZ stuff is mostly for air traffic but you can assume they also mark areas of interest for a given country. For example, you wouldn't want to stage a mission between Spain and Argentina in the middle of the Great Lakes. This is just an easier way to figure out where flash points could occur.

Freedom Of Navigation can get tricky. Are you assuming everything is peaceful or are the tensions mounting?

I think patrolling EEZs is more interesting than patrolling territorial waters - hence why they're not marked. If there's a contact within 3-12 miles off the coast, it's going to get blasted.

I just asked - why not then draw a 12-mile zone around the coast.
These are the waters that cannot be entered.
Then ROE can then change in the scenario at real base.
