Default Greetings All

Hi folks. Just finished getting this all set up this evening, along with that long list of to do's to bypass all the Steam issues. Took a while, but all working fine!

Got through the first naval academy exam, and getting it all figured out.

So far, I find it great, and look forward to learning much more.

Cheers all!

Welcome to subsim. I remember feeling that way the first time I played Silent Hunter 2. Then I got 3, 4, 688(Il Hunter/Killer, Sub Command, and Dangerous Waters. Silent Hunter 2 cost me a lot of money. lol

Hello from Scotland, first post after joining about a month ago. Had intended to revisit my old silent hunter games after many years but was quickly back in dry dock due to my dugoutoftheattic xp desktop committing hari-kari. So anyhow I purchased one with two windows systems installed 10 and XP. Set it up and in my haste installed silent hunter 2 while using windows 10 and to my shock, it worked. As you may gather I'm NOT tech-minded if it works great if not WTF!!!, so what I'm asking (if anyone knows) is it because the computer recognises and played it automatically on the XP system. Also downloaded the 1.1 patch so I presume that was also applied to the game. Many thanks to this group for the downloads available and hope to use it more when I give SH 3 a bash.
