Icon2 Why does "Uboat" not fit?

Hey guys.

I am member of this community since 2005, the release of SH3. My favorite subsim, for which i modded years. Until Uboat released. I wonder, why so few members of the Silent Hunter community have tried the game uboat. The forums are not well visited and i feel like, most of the players here prefer to play/mod SH3 is there any reason?

I have switched to uboat, as this game has extremly huge potential. It could be the real successor of SH3. The experience in FPP is very immersive and all, you wanted SH3 to be. The best thing is: Uboat is open for modding since release in Early Access! That means the possibilities are already now much greater than in SH3 after years.

I started modding and created with my modding crew the best (most accurate) TDC simulator worldwide:

Also i created an interface for the LuT:

And many more is to come, or already designed. At the first moment the game looks more like a crew sim, but its becoming more and more SHish. So, if anyone is interested to join our modding crew, please apply!

No, thanks. Let them first finish the game. Every mod before that state is a waste of time.

Not really the tdc works stable, meanwhile since v126. It depends on what you mod

@urfisch
Do you boast or really offer it in SH3?

First it's beautiful work. Better looking than SH5 IMO. and good deal more stable.
BUT!...the travel map is arcade at best, it's like SubSim pong,. you dont actually plot your course you just point it at the convoy and go.

While on the other extreme you have to manege your crews bathroom breaks!
some features of this micro management I like. Who hasn't had a crewmen they'ed wanted to shoot. But if I tell them rig for silent running I shouldn't have to lead them around by the hand turning off pumps and compressors.

It's still early yet I think they've already addressed some of the hand holding you have to do.

It's one to watch and from time to time I play...as much as SH5.
