Is there an advantage of running WOLVES of the PACIFIC GOLD
edition than other versions?

Yes there is because this Gold Version also includes the "U-boat Missions Expansion" which patches the game to v1.5 and new campaigns.

Very big advantage. Most all mods now out for SH4 run off v1.5. Most of all, the mega mods now in circulation won't run on anything but v1.5.
