Default As many as 400 koalas have died in Australia's fires

Is anyone aware of this calamity?

Most certainly am, I've two cousins and their families over there who have lost just about everything but luckily they were insured and are having to await in a 'queue' to find out just what is and isn't covered.

Terribly tragic but at least they are all physically safe which is a lot more than can be said for some others unfortunately.

Reminds me of the big record fire desaster they had in Montana twenty years ago, or is it already thrity years? Some of their origins remind of what has been (not) done in Australia, though there were two other key reasons as well that do not fit for Australia today.

Still, the claim that the fires in Australia today are due to climate weamring, can be debated. Today, everything is due to CO2 cult and climate warming.

Jared Diamond gave a very good analysis of the situation in Montana in his prize-winning book "Collapse", he gave it a whole chapter of over 50 pages (German edition). Recommended reading.

Venice is drowning. Climate warming, you know. That new seismological and geological measurements with precision levels unknown before now show that the tectonic plate Venic is located on is sinking in sinc elong time, with a speed of 2-4 cm in ten years, and this creeping waterlevel rising leads to slow erosion of geological layers and building fundaments that get damaged by water sipping in where before it did not - nobody mentions that.

New data show that the polar oscillation - ah, I stop here, its pointless to argue against the cult's pet dogma.

They want climate desaster to be there should be so to use it for justifying their big redistribution schemes and destruction of the market and capitalism and burgeoise society. The climate change they alarm everybody about - its wanted to be real.

Yes it's quite heart breaking, the devastation of these fires is overwhelming!!
Going for a top here today of 42 with extreme gale force winds, not a good combo, I live in the mid north of South Australia, thankfully where I live the local farmers have finished reaping and harvesting.
