I ACTUALLY AGRREE WITH RUSSIAN VETERANS OPPOSED TO BURIAL ON RUSSIAN SOIL; THE REMAINS-HORSES INCLUDED- SHOULD BE LOADED RESPECFULLY INTO CONTAINER TRUCKS AND RETURNED TO GERMANY

FOR FORENSIC IDENTIFICATION ETC AND BURIAL IN GERMANY OR WHATEVER OTHER COUNTRY THE THEY WERE DRAFTED FROM.

Its a war grave, Rather than build a highway over it. I suppose invite German officials to exhume and return the soldiers home.

I see the Daily Fail strikes again with the caption. "This item bears the name of the dead German soldier who owned it from Dresden, dated 1937." Its actually a makers mark by A. Aurich Dresden 1937.

They certainly deserve a proper burial, whether in Russia or Germany is besides the point.
