Possible to add more letters to your skippers name?

Is it possible to lengthen the letter limit for names when you start the campaign? Right now it’s 16 letters, including spaces and I would like to lengthen it to 20-25 letters if that’s possible.

sorry, mr tucker, i thought i responded to this when you originally posted.
first, welcome to SH4 Subsim.


second, bad news, sports fan, 16 letters is the hard-coded limit at the career start point.



now, if you are intrepidacious, and know about the SH4 savefolder and savefiles, and know how to use Notepad, you can edit the captain's name in the Careertrack.upc file to at least 25 characters.
but i never told you that.
