WW2 People's War on BBC Website
Hi Shipmates, I found this link on the BBC Website this morning, listing many short stories of sailors/soldiers/airmen during their time in service during WW2.
I read a story of a young submariner in the Royal Navy that sailed from Scotland to Capetown, their boat constantly broke down and they lived off boiled cabbage and water for most of the trip.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ww2peo...egories/c1184/ |
