Oooops. I will never understand how mindless Chinese-build hardware gets used in sensible areas. Like the US most likely uses software monopoles to prepare any device running thersye for unauthoruzted acceess if desired, the Chinese use their hardware building monopole to achieve the same on the hardware level. Russia uses online media spamming and propaganda.

Want a safe platform? Develope and produce it yourself. Especially when it is defence.

So much gets compromised just to save one or two pennies. Clever.

I wonder if they will ever have a cyber war that we never hear about frying all of their servers

The third world war is already happening and it is hot. It just uses modern weapons different form those in the last wars, thats why we have no body counts. However, preparing to fry servers or to cause deaths in huge quantities by drying civil IT, is part of that war. The war for media, public opinion and infiltrating other country's politics alraedy is a reality.

Even less understandable that a Western military does not mind to arm its weapon and sensor platforms with computer boards and chips made in China. Or why non-America countries run Windows and software made in america. Its absurd and only illustrates that many people in decision-making ranks have not understood how things work and whats going on.
