I am on my way from Willemshaven for a patrol in the SW area of England, I'm about halfway and it's 3 Aug.1939.
When I arrive there it is about 6 Aug. The war begins 3 sept .; Do I have to wait almost a month to intercept ships? ![]() I'm playing GWX. henny |

Yes you do have to wait. You could pull into a british port and check it out, just be out of there before the war starts.

No, you don't have to wait. But you will be sinking neutral ships and BdU will not be amused.

judging by the manual for GWX, starting a patrol in August allows you to complete a "shake down cruise" for a few days and return to port. Once done your next patrol will be closer to September but late enough in August to get to the western approaches by 9/3
