Default A Strong Message From The Head Of The USAF Academy...

If you want to see what real leadership is like, its in the above clip...

If you want to see what moral leadership is like, its in the above clip...

If you want to see what humane leadership is like, its in the above clip...

If you want to see what decisive leadership is like, its in the above clip...

Its too bad those who currently claim to be our leader(s) don't follow the same principles or have the moral foundation of Lt. General Silveria; if this man ever ran for office, I know I'd be very interested in voting for him...

... Hmm..., I wonder what the Oval Office did today?...

So strong he said it twice.

Damn good speech though, a shame that it needed to be said, but good that it was.

Mr Farage would not agree.

The speech is good, but is it good enough? And are there enough to think that way? Again, good speech, but bad this has even to be said aloud. Such thinking is not self-evident.

Thank you for posting.

It was a stupid public display of damage control if you ask me.

The prep school where this occurred is on the same base but literally has nothing to do with the cadets or staff of the Air Force Academy. It is a completely different entity. It is a bunch of mostly minority civilian students that are hoping to get into the academy and don't have the grades for it.

So apparently some 17 year old prep school student anonymously writes a racial expletive on some of his fellow students doors and the Commandant feels the need to berate cadets and staff of a different school for his actions.

Talk about missing the target audience! With aim like that maybe that's why the Commandant was flying a desk instead of a bomber. The next time it happens maybe the Commandant should go find some Air Force WW2 veterans and yell at them. Using those old Gents (mostly white!) ought to work just as well.

I must agree with August, it is a reaction overdone. I do not know the institutional and organizational background like August explained, but to me it appeared to be an overreaction, that added meaning to the original offence and blew it up in size by this, it might be more illustrating for the climate of super-dooper political correctness and every-lobbygroup-it's-special-interest-else-witchhunt!-occuring policy that rules so many branches of modern society by now. Where disciplinary measures were needed, they should have been taken care for, but not this public. To me, it runs the danger of causing right the opposite of the desired effect this way. You do not blow up a mosquito until it has the size of an elephant. It reminds me negatively a bit of some of the excessive political correctness campaigns that German defence miniprincess Ursula von der Leyen is haunting the Bundeswehr with recently, pissing the troops and officer corps big time by that and damaging the BW as an institution more than protecting or serving it. I also did not find that speech sensationally appealing. If I were one of those he adressed it with, I would have shrug my shoulders, turn, and carry on with my tasks of the day, unimpressed. Too much air, too much pathos with that cellphone trick. But then, it simply meets the Zeitgeist to talk like this. So many seem to do it at every opportunity these days.

Given the events of the past year, I'm going to go with no. Sadly I don't think words are going to work any more. It's a nice thought though.
