Games of Thrones Experience Live

Last night I took my daughters to Games of Thrones Experience Live Verizon Center Washington DC. Both watch the series. I have not watched but a few minutes here and there. The musical score composer Ramin Djawadi conducted the orchestra.

It is a wonderful performance with related footage of the first 6 seasons. The many talents that make up composing and performing what is written on paper is quite something of a gift and talent.

If you get a chance to see the performance(fan or not) you will not be disappointed.

Jim, it is quite good. I always enjoy the musical scores from the movies. Hans Zimmer musical talent being my favorite. Gladiator score is simply fantastic. Djawadi is now slouch. The man is talented. He plays some of the instruments during the performance as well. When he did speak to the audience it was very apparent he was very humbled to be on such a stage and his work being applauded.

The tour dates are not many but I would say more would be added depending on success. The Verizon Center was sold out but for a few very expensive seats. Based on that hopefully it will go worldwide.

Something of interest, for each city they select local talent for the performances. This tour was in the making for 3 years.

Considering what typically happens on that show, I'm not sure I would want to experience it live (talking about you Sean Bean/Eddard Stark).

Seriously though, I had not heard about this, so I will have to keep an eye out for local dates.
