The message seemingly urged “Shayne” to make the hit “look like a robbery gone wrong or make it a accident.” The text also provides his wife’s work schedule and work location as well as his own, according to the affidavit.

“I’ll split everything with the insurance 50/50,” the text allegedly concluded.

What if his boss's code name was “Shayne” and he sent it to the right person ... his boss was the hit man and then he turned him in with the knowledge that no one else would know that he was really "Shayne"?

I like it when stupid criminals transmit their own evidence. Makes the police department's job a little easier.

Protip: If you are planning a crime, it is probably a good idea not to transmit evidence of the crime over cell networks/Internet.
